Excellent for use in educational environments providing students and academicians the ability to perform vacuum experiments in the lab in a cost effective manner. The motorized lifting arm allows the chamber to be raised and held in the open position, then a new experiment is placed on the base. Replace the seal, lower the chamber and retighten. A single stand can accommodate many hundreds of experiments over it’s lifetime. Another advantage to using a portable stand would be the quick turn-around for an experimenter to perform a test without waiting for time reserved on the main facility chamber. This would free up valuable resources and allow for a more efficient work flow."
